Bilston Market
Market
2026
In 2023 we submitted plans to regenerate Bilston Market on behalf of City of Wolverhampton Council. Working closely with traders, the Council and the wider community, we replaced the market's tired, end-of-life canopy with a new covered structure, refurbishing the market office building, and stitching the Indoor and Outdoor Markets together with a continuous public realm - all to secure the market's future as the beating heart of Bilston town centre.

2025
We are working with Norwich City Council, Inner Circle Consulting and the wider design team, alongside the traders, public and key stakeholders, to realise the next phase of this historically important market.
The project aims to build around the already successful characteristics of this vibrant city centre market, preserving its future and enhancing its potential as one of the key assets in Norwich.
Darley St. Market

We worked with Rossendale Borough Council on the successful Levelling Up funding bid for the new vision for Rawtenstall Market.
Huddersfield Market
Market
2022 - Current
We secured planning permission for the restoration of Huddersfield's Grade II* Open Market, an iron and glass Market Hall of 1887-9, funded by a £16.5 million investment from the UK Government as part of Kirklees Council's Huddersfield Blueprint for the town centre.
Our proposals keep the second-hand and general goods markets at centre of a traditional market offer, repairing and repainting the cast-iron frame in the original colours, and make enhancements to introduce flexibility for additional uses. The proposals are key to the council’s vision of future-proofing the market by increasing opportunities for social inclusion for all of Huddersfield’s communities.
L’Haÿ-les-Roses
Market
2021
Le Marché de l'Haÿ-les-Roses is a modern market hall on the historic site of the original outdoor market, sitting along the Paris greenbelt and within easy reach of the town centre. The 1,900m² hall brings together 40 food stalls, a casual market area along the service zone, and a restaurant on the upper floor overlooking the market activity below. Positioned at the crossroads of the town's main roads, the building welcomes visitors under an inviting and well-opened outdoor covered space.

The scheme acquired two listed building consents, one for a more ambitious activation of the Corn Exchange building, and the implemented scheme, with more focus on offering more space to the square over commercial activation.

Hong Kong Wet Markets
Market
2011
We were commissioned by The Link REIT to reimagine two of Hong Kong's fresh food markets, Lok Fu and Tai Yuen, as part of a wider ambition to change the image and atmosphere of the territory's wet markets. Across both projects, our focus was on the balance between commercial performance and cultural identity: reconfiguring layouts to work harder for traders and landlords, while protecting the freshness, energy and 'organised chaos' that make Hong Kong's markets so distinctive. Rather than sanitising these spaces, we worked to elevate them, giving them greater prominence within their communities while preserving what shoppers and traders love most about them.

Borough Market
Market
1995 - 2015
Spanning many years and fifteen thousand square metres, Borough Market is one of London's most celebrated regeneration stories. Commissioned by the market's trustees to revitalise a site in serious decline, we transformed a complex network of Victorian structures, railway viaducts and open spaces into one of the world's most visited food markets and a catalyst for the wider regeneration of Southwark.
