Ching Liu

Associate

ARB, RIBA

Ching joined greig + stephenson in 2020, bringing with him a background in architectural practices specialising in retail, leisure and volume residential sectors. He completed his RIBA Part I and II at the University of Nottingham and qualified as an architect at London South Bank University, and has recently completed the RIBA Principal Designer course, working towards enlistment on the RIBA register.

At g+s his focus has been on the technical heart of the work. Ching has extensive knowledge of construction systems, details and specifications, and takes pride in delivering projects with both efficiency and care. As project architect, he oversaw the completion of Darley St. Market in Bradford, which opened in July 2025, and the completion of Bilston Market in Wolverhampton in 2026. He has a particular appreciation for the balance between aesthetics and construction detail, finding the tension between the two one of the most rewarding parts of the job.

Outside the studio, Ching is a serious cyclist. In 2025 he completed a 918km tour of Taiwan, which puts his lunch rides in perspective. He also spends his spare time visiting country houses, museums and galleries, which for someone who thinks as carefully about buildings as he does, feels entirely on brand.
