Adam Parker

Director + Architect

Adam joined greig+stephenson in 2012, having previously worked at FaulknerBrowns. He studied at Newcastle University and Northumbria University, completing his Part 3 at the Bartlett.
As a Director, Adam has been involved in over 40 market-led projects across the UK and abroad, with a particular focus on heritage and community regeneration. Projects he is especially proud of include Leicester Market Masterplan, Preston Markets Quarter, Birmingham Smithfield, Bilston and Darley Street Market, alongside more recent work on Huddersfield Open Market, Norwich Market and the Spalding Pride in Place Vision. He works closely with clients from inception through to delivery, with sustainability and social value being passionately woven into his work.
More recently, Adam has been enjoying sharing his knowledge through lecturing and speaking engagements, including partnerships with educational institutions in Lima, talks for the National Association of British Market Authorities and the National Market Traders Federation, and moderating sessions at international public markets conferences.
Outside of the studio, he’s intersted in joinery, landscaping his garden, making concrete pots, and producing photorealist drawings and mixed media artwork. It is a varied set of interests, but they all come back to the same thing – making something worth making.
