Celine Vicente

Architectural Desiger

A year volunteering with Article 25, an organisation that delivers architecture in some of the world’s most challenging humanitarian contexts, followed by a role at Catalyst Housing – that’s the path Celine took before joining greig + stephenson in 2019, having moved to London from Portugal. It’s a background that says a lot about what she’s drawn to in the work.

She studied at ISCTE in Portugal, completing a master’s degree in architecture, and was subsequently invited by one of her professors to contribute to a research project focused on architecture in emergency contexts. At g+s, her main project has been Bradford, a complex and ambitious scheme that she found as rewarding as it was challenging. As an architectural assistant with a strong eye for detail, she brings care and precision to everything she works on.

Outside the studio, Celine draws, paints and writes, and has spent several years studying at an alternative school of philosophy with a particular interest in psychology. She is one of those people who thinks deeply about most things, which, it turns out, makes for a very good architect.
