Tasmia Bux

Architectural Designer

MArch, ARB

Before joining greig + stephenson in May 2022, Tasmia built her early career at a sustainable design consultancy and an architectural practice, developing experience in residential architecture, energy and light modelling, and green building accreditation. She holds a BArch from the University of Cape Town, an MArch from the University of Westminster, and completed her Part 3 at the Architectural Association, with an academic focus on social architecture and the role of the built environment in shaping community and wellbeing.

At g+s she has worked across Bilston, Melton Mowbray, Huddersfield and Norwich markets, contributing through design stages 2 to 4. What she enjoys most is working within a consistent typology that demands a different response every time, each project shaped by its own context, community and local identity. Her interest sits at the intersection of technical delivery and design intent; making sure what gets built actually reflects what was envisioned, with sustainability principles woven in rather than bolted on.

Outside the studio, Tasmia paints, reads, and travels with a curious eye for architecture and culture in new cities. She also values time with family, which given how much she clearly puts into her work, sounds well earned.
