Greig + Stephenson Sponsors the Bankside Gastronomic Experience

Greig + Stephenson Architects (GSA) is one of the lead sponsors and organisers of the Bankside Gastronomic Experience, taking place on 9th March 2006 from 6:30 – 9 pm. The event has been organised to celebrate the increasingly vibrant gastronomic scene around Bankside, on the South Bank of the Thames.

GSA is responsible for the successful development of several bars and restaurants in the gastronomic pocket of Borough Market including Brew Wharf and Bar Blue. The practice is also currently working with Bombay Sapphire to redesign the Bombay Sapphire Experience at Vinopolis.

To highlight the regeneration of this culinary location GSA has joined forces with Bombay Sapphire, Trevor Gulliver and Claudio Pulze, Meantime Brewery and Vinopolis to put on an evening where invited guests will receive a guided tour of these venues and try an assortment of beer, wine, canapés and cocktails.

Tours will start at Bar Blue, where guests will sample a range of cocktails, before encountering a Mini Mixology Masterclass in the Bombay Sapphire Experience within the Vinopolis Tour. At Brew Wharf guests will be invited to try a selection of beer from the Meantine Brewery microbrewery, as well as Alsation bistro style canapés made with British ingredients and sourced exclusively from neighbouring Borough Market. Specially selected wines from Vinopolis will also be provided for guests to sample and enjoy.

Hosts for the tours include Trevor Gulliver and Claudio Pulze; owners of St John and AtoZ restaurants, Jamie Walker; the Bombay Sapphire Global Ambassador, Peter Haydon of Meantime Brewery, and Malcom Ball, chief executive of Vinopolis. Howard Bates director of Greig + Stephenson, will also host tours throughout the evening.
