ASK in Dorking - Spring 2011

Greig & Stephenson's design of ASK Italian in Dorking has been shortlisted for this year's best multiple restaurant in the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards (www.restaurantandbardesignawards.com), which attracted 330 entries from the UK and fifty other countries worldwide.  In July last year G&S won a three-way design pitch for the design of future ASK Italian Restaurants as part of the brand's design 'refresh'.  As one of the leading contemporary Italian restaurant brands in the UK, ASK was looking to re-establish itself with a new identity.  The designs new look evokes an aspirational yet accessible dining experience, building upon the integrity with which the brand began 17 years ago by Adam and Sam Kaye, the restaurant founders.

G&S has been retained to work on future sites across the UK, which will be rolled out over the next few years to strengthen the existing ASK portfolio, totalling 120 sites.

Other entrants to the awards include Foster & Partners, Tom Dixon, Jamie Oliver, and Gordan Ramsay.  The judging panel includes Karim Rashid, Fay Maschler and the editor of Frame magazine.
